Program Benefits and Roles


As a Ready, Set, Go! Program member you have access to a number of valuable resources, implementation guides, templates, outreach tools and customizable files to create a localized guide reflective of your community. RSG members also receive bi-monthly news updates and access to a platform to interact with fellow members. Additional benefits include the opportunity to interact with, develop important relationships and educate members of your community to work toward becoming a Fire Adapted Community – one that is prepared for the threat of wildland fire.


Fire Department (and other emergency service agencies): Educate your community members how to best prepare themselves, their families, and their properties against fire threats.

  • Take advantages of free RSG resources to help get the preparedness message out to the community.
  • Develop relationships with your residents, property owners and civic groups.
  • Work with other groups and emergency response or management agencies to have a larger impact.
  • Promote personal responsibility for the safety of your community members and emergency responders.

Resident: Do your part to prepare for threat of outdoor fire threats.

  • Ready – Take personal responsibility and prepare long before fire threatens.
  • Set – Be familiar with notification systems in your area and maintain situational awareness.
